The Adidas Design Academy is a 24-month trainee program, headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Germany. Trainees rotate through creation teams every 4-to-6 months. I was part of the 2017 generation; below is the brief and my submission.
The Brief:
01:PICK ONE PIECE OF FURNITURE THAT INSPIRES YOU. Please write a paragraph to tell us why this piece of furniture is meaningful to you. Now turn this piece of furniture into desirable footwear.
02: NOW THINK ABOUT MOVEMENT. Take your final footwear idea from task 1 and turn it into a running shoe.
03. NOW DESIGN FOR SPEED. Speed up the movement from a run to a sprint.
